NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - One man is in custody and another is still at large after they allegedly stole a tractor and then attempted to evade law enforcement.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, August 18, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen tractor from the Southland Plantation subdivision. Detectives developed information on the tractor’s location and went to the area, where the tractor was seen. Several people were present, and two men took off running.

Detectives chased the suspects and requested additional deputies. The property and surrounding residences were secured, and a search warrant was obtained. The stolen tractor was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
