Update: Coastal flood advisory affecting Cape May County until Tuesday night

The National Weather Service released an updated coastal flood advisory at 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until 10 p.m. for Cape May County.

The weather service describes, "Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways."

"At this level, widespread roadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities and along inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable. Some damage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur," explains the weather service.
