Security footage from St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno showed Hailey Moniz walking back and forth from the waiting room to the check-in counter when she and her husband, Giovonnye Hart, brought their infant son to the emergency room on April 5.
It took an estimated 15 minutes for the baby to be seen by a doctor, according to testimony Sparks Police Detective Kenny Fye gave at Monday's bail hearing for the parents.
“When ( Hart and Moniz) initially made contact, it appeared they just kind of did the standard, ‘Here’s the clip board, come back when it’s complete,'” Fye said of St. Mary's staff when the couple arrived at the hospital.
Fye testified the hospital staff didn’t seem “particularly attentive,” but also that Moniz did not appear distraught on the hospital surveillance f
