A little more than five months after it , a revamped Hollywood Regency residence in the posh enclave of has been sold, according to reliable sources, to legendary TV producer Chuck Lorre for $27.5 million.

That’s far less than the original $31.5 million ask, but it’s nearly $10 million more than architect Mark Rios and Guy Ringler, a reproductive endocrinologist, shelled out for the rundown home over four years ago before giving it a full makeover that was featured in Architectural Digest .
