PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Crews are reshaping familiar Rhode Island businesses into backdrops as filming continues for a major Hollywood production.

Last week, the Rhode Island Film & TV Office announced that Warner Brothers Pictures would be filming in Providence and other parts of the state.

The upcoming production, 'Ghostwriter,' directed by award-winning filmmaker J.J. Abrams, is expected to feature stars including Glen Powell, Samuel L. Jackson and Jenna Ortega.

So far, only Abrams and Powell have been spotted, with East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva sharing on social media Monday that he had the "pleasure of meeting" the two. • J.J.
