BELLFLOWER – A 25-year-old man who was fatally shot in Bellflower was identified Tuesday.

Deputies from the department’s Lakewood Station were called at about 9:15 p.m. Monday to the 14000 block of Bellflower Boulevard.

They found the victim near T. Mayne Thompson Park, between Foster Road and Rosecrans Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

He was identified on Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Frank Zavala.

There was no description of a suspect, and the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
