James Gunn Reveals Wayne Enterprises As One of Four Dominating Corporations in the DCU

James Gunn’s new DCU stands apart from the MCU in one significant way; it’s a version of Earth with a very long history of Metahumans in it. 300 years, in fact. And this fact altered history. So unlike the MCU, which is (more or less) a version of our “our” world with known cities like New York, the DCU’s United States doesn’t have those same big metropolitan centers. Cities are different, as are governments and giant conglomerates. And Gunn just revealed another big difference in his DCU, and yes, it has to do with Batman . During an exchange with Rainn Wilson for Interview Magazine , Gunn mentioned Wayne Enterprises as one of four controlling corporations wielding power in the DCU. Here’s what he had to say:
