TUFTONBORO, N.H. —
The operator of a 12-foot boat was not injured after being thrown off, causing the boat to run away on Lake Winnipesaukee.
New Hampshire State Police - Marine Patrol said the wake from another boat struck the small boat, causing the operator to be thrown off.

The operator was not wearing an engine cutoff switch lanyard which is required, Marine Patrol said. The operator was warned about not properly wearing the lanyard.
