PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. (WLOX) - Pass Christian leaders are asking the state auditor to investigate the possible mishandling of money within the city.

The Board of Aldermen wants the auditor to look into the city’s Water, Harbor, and Code Departments. The city fired three employees from those departments just a few months ago.

A records request from the city revealed that Pass Christian hasn’t had a state audit since the 2022 fiscal year.

Each municipality is required by law to have an audit once a year.
