According to National Hurricane Center, tropical storm watches have been extended Northward, adding that life-threatening rip currents are expected along U.S. East Coast beaches. It comes as evacuations are underway in states like North Carolina. Now a Category 2 storm, Hurricane Erin is not expected to make landfall in the United States.
