HENDERSON CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Tuesday, homeowner Shane Driskell in Henderson County watched as their house was torn down, a direct result of the severe flooding back in April.

“It’s hard losing your home in any capacity, but to watch it go slow with the water coming up and just damage. Water is going to do whatever it wants to do, there’s no way of controlling that,” he said.

Driskell, who has lived here for five years, says the last few months have been an uphill battle.

“We had to displace me, my wife and our two kids,” he tells us.

He says everything inside was lost to the floodwaters. But there is hope for the future.
