There’s a proposal to expand an existing casino at the Aqueduct Raceway in Queens.
The plan for the Resorts World is predicted to create 5,000 permanent jobs.
It includes a $5.5 billion investment and a 7,000-seat entertainment venue.
Because this is an expansion of an existing casino, the developers say their casino could be operation as soon as July 2026.
Robert DeSalvio, the president of Genting Americas East, the gaming and hospitality company that owns the existing facility, joined NY1 political anchor Errol Louis on “Inside City Hall” Tuesday to break this down.
