Los Angeles officials will release an after-action report on the Palisades Fire after federal investigators complete their investigation into the matter, Mayor Karen Bass announced Tuesday.
Per state regulation, the city is required to complete a report on the disaster, but the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California requested the city to hold off on releasing it for now. The request comes as a federal investigation into the deadly blaze continues.

“Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the after-action report will be released in coordination with the United States Department of Justice,” Bass said in a statement.
