Fresh off winning the Monahans Tournament, the Permian volleyball team kept up its undefeated start to the season by sweeping Pecos Tuesday at Permian Fieldhouse.

Playing in their home opener, the Lady Panthers made it look easy, winning by scores of 25-7, 25-5, 25-11.

With the victory, Permian improved to 8-0 while Pecos fell to 0-7.

“We’ve really been talking about their efficiency and them controlling the ball and I feel like they did really well with their ball control tonight and just being efficient,” Permian head coach Gillian Herrera said. “We’ve talked about, statistically, missed serves and our serve-receive and so we just wanted to really focus on that tonight and focus on what we were doing on our side of the court.”
