ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. — When you walk into the office of the 950th Spectrum Warfare Group, there is not much to see just yet. The group just stood up at Robins Air Force Base last October, and they are still in the process of creating a space that will help lead the Department of Defense in protecting and defending the electromagnetic spectrum.
We actually use the electromagnetic spectrum every day by connecting to Wi-Fi, using a remote to start your car, or walking through sliding doors at a convenience store. These invisible connections are all harmless, but our military also uses connections on the spectrum that need protecting.
"You think of a radar on an aircraft, a radio on an aircraft, a GPS on an aircraft. You've got radar-guided missiles that are on an aircraft," says Lt. C
