Cedar Park has been certified as a "Friendly Texas" community by the office of the governor.

Cedar Park is the third city in Texas to receive the four certifications needed to be declared a “Friendly Texas” community, Gov. Greg Abbott announced in a news release. The governor’s office evaluated the city's position in the film, music, digital media and tourism industries when making the designation.
