CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The Citadel is one step closer to renovating the Johnson Hagood Stadium, adding stands to replace the temporary bleachers that have been there for years.
The Citadel says these renovations are needed, but some residents believe adding these seats could cause parking problems and detract from the aesthetic of the neighborhood.
In 2016, the Citadel removed its seating area and replaced it with temporary bleachers. Now they are working to add permanent stands in their place.
