SEATTLE — In a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy , President Donald Trump said an executive order banning mail-in ballots nationwide is in the works. That would have sweeping effects in Washington state, where it is the default voting system.
“Let me just add another verbal middle finger to the Trump Administration because of these executive orders and these threat,” Washington Secretary of State Steve Hobbs said in an interview KING 5’s Joyce Taylor .
Hobbs in charge of overseeing the state’s elections.
“The Constitution gives us the authority to run these elections. Read Article 1 Section 4 of the Constitution of the United States of America,” he said.
The U.S. Constitution gives Congress and state legislators the power to set the ‘Time, Places, and Manner’ of
