ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A 75-year-old Army veteran is still recovering from devastating injuries after being mauled by three dogs in Forest Park two weeks ago. Police have yet to locate the dogs or their owner, leaving neighbors fearful it could happen again.

The victim’s brother, who spoke with First Alert 4 on his behalf, says the attack was sudden and brutal.

“Not only is it traumatic to have one dog, but to have three pulling on you in all different directions—he’s lucky to be alive," said Vernon Born.
