BAKERSFIELD, Calif — Clinton and Cristen Brink, who were stabbed and killed while hiking with their young daughters at Devil's Den State Park on July 26, have been laid to rest by friends and family.

A funeral service was held on Aug. 18 at Grace Baptist Church in Bakersfield, California.

"Clinton and Cristen shared a marriage rooted in faith, laughter, and adventure," the couple's obituary said. "Whether hiking as a family, kayaking, or spending days at theme parks with their daughters, they lived for the simple joys that built lasting memories. They were each other’s best friend, biggest cheerleader, and constant teammate — truly one in heart and purpose."

Those that spoke at the funeral included a pastor at the church, Clinton's father David, and Bri Monsieur, who played volleyball
