OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A Shalimar man has pleaded guilty to firearm possession.
According to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Northern District of Florida, Zackery Chase Brunson, 33, faces a sentence of up to 15 years, three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000 for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Law enforcement searched Brunson's home in Shalimar after executing a search warrant in January of 2025. Officers found two rifles, a shotgun, three pistols, and multiple types of ammunition, the release said.
Brunson, who was previously convicted of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance, was prohibited from possessing a firearm. His sentencing is set for Nov. 13 at the United States Courthouse in Pensac
