On Tuesday, members of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Central Command Patrol Division responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Tonopah Street in Silver Springs for a welfare check involving juveniles reportedly living in poor conditions.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted Silver Springs resident Leigha Griffiths, 44, who allowed them to enter the residence. Deputies found the interior in disarray, including piles of dirty clothes, rotting food, dirty dishes and animal feces. Drug paraphernalia was discovered in the bathroom that contained the only working shower in the residence.
