LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - It was an exciting season for Pack fans in 2024, with the Lufkin Panthers finding their way back to the top of the district rankings and bringing home a playoff win.

And now, just 11 days before the purple and gold make their way to Lobo Stadium for their week one matchup with Longview,

The excitement levels on the field aren’t faltering anytime soon.

“I’m hype, I’m trying to get after it,” Senior running back Kylon Coleman said. “We been doing it since the Meet the Panthers. It shows how hype we were and ready for this game against Longview,”.

“It feels like that first time I stepped on a varsity field,” Junior defensive lineman Jameria Davis. “I’m just glad to be back with my teammates and especially with these new coaches,”.
