Ontario hasn't provided a public update on when a major Mississauga transit line will be completed in more than five years, according to internal documents, as work continues on the light-rail project originally set to open last fall.

Premier Doug Ford's government first awarded a contract to build the Hurontario LRT in October 2020 and pegged the completion date to the fall of 2024.

Partway through 2025, the line has yet to open. Documents obtained by CBC Toronto through a freedom of information request show that the province has not provided an updated timeline for completion of the work since 2019.
