A pair of legends in the blues and rock worlds will take to the stage for a show in Southern Indiana on Saturday, Aug. 23.
Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush will play a 7:30 p.m. show at the Lincoln Amphitheatre.
It's a show that will span generations. Shepherd, 47, has established himself as a blues rock star over the past four decades. His "Trouble Is..." album, released in 1997, was the first of his three platinum albums. Rush, 91, is a three-time Grammy winner whose career took him to the Blues Hall of Fame.
Shepherd spoke with the Courier & Press recently in advance of the show.
As the namesake of the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, you’re often predominantly considered a guitarist and songwriter. How has your role shifted and evolved?
It’s been a natural evolution. The guitar has a
