LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Motorworks apartment complex has been in the works for years. The complex aims to bring hundreds of affordable housing units to downtown Louisville.
Arnetta Johnson loves bright, bold colors—and quality clothing. That’s what you’ll find inside her boutique. She’s run her shop, Timeless Treasures Consignment , inside the Heyburn Building for five years.
“I love it. I’m a people-person and I’m here to serve the people,” Johnson said. “I love doing the window dressing and I just love interacting with people.”
The Motorworks apartment complex is planned to be built across the street from Johnson’s shop, in the former Brown Brothers Cadillac at 4th and Broadway streets. The project plans to keep and renovate the original Cadillac showroom.
