LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Metro Department of Corrections granted home incarceration to a man who was in jail on charges including several violent offenses. Officials tell WAVE it was a miscommunication.
Jackson’s history included allegations that the was involved in a violent home invasion in which he bound and gagged a victim and threatened to kill her children.
A judge raised his bond after his court date on June 20, but there was a miscommunication and the LMDC Records Division " received a bond decision that they in good faith believed placed Mr. Jackson on HIP," according to a statement from officials with LMDC.
The jail had already released him on home incarceration by the time they were notified that the bond had been increased and there had been a misunderstanding of
