LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Greater Clark County Schools is making headway on using surplus property owned by the district.

Back in May, the district broke ground on the future River Ridge Middle School which is expected to be open for the 2027-28 school year.

On August 12, the school board voted unanimously to approve local developer, Millennium Builders to build residential properties near the district’s future middle school.

The land is located near Ind. 62 and Utica-Sellersburg Road.

Inside Millennium Builder’s proposal, they plan on building the The Trophy Ridge subdivision which will include 42 lots. The homes are expected to be Craftsman Tudor-style.
