A state appeals court has invalidated the search warrant that investigators used to gather four years of cell phone information for a driver charged with killing a 3-year-old girl in a motor-vehicle collision.

The ruling could affect the first-degree aggravated manslaughter indictment against Stephanie Bonora, who is charged with the death of Kylie Williams in a January 2024 crash on Route 34 in Howell, her attorney said Tuesday.

Bonora, 32, of Howell, also faces two counts of second-degree aggravated assault and two counts of fourth-degree assault for the crash.
