TikTok star John Crawley , who went by the moniker KingBeardX, died at the age of 47, his friend and former podcast co-host Anthony Caruso announced on a GoFundMe page initially launched to support his ICU recovery .

Crawley's obituary on Glenfield Funeral Home's website confirms that he died on August 18.

"I'm really sorry to tell everyone the bad news but Pimpmunkx (KingBeardx) passed away yesterday, Caruso wrote in an update shared on Tuesday (August 19). "Thank you to everyone that has supported the fundraiser so far.

"His mother says told me to thank you all. The fundraiser will continue to go on to support fundraising a funeral/helping John's mother."
