A man's body has been found inside a van in a Leicestershire car park. Police were called to the car park following concerns for the man's welfare.

Officers attended the scene, in Stanley Street, Barwell, shortly after 12.30pm on Friday (August 15), and found the man - who has not been named publicly - dead inside a vehicle. The van is believed to have been parked near the George Ward community centre.

The man's death is not believed to be suspicious, said a police spokesperson, and a file will be prepared for the coroner. Officers are carrying out inquiries to identify the deceased man's next of kin.
