* NATO defense chiefs are meeting today to devise possible future security guarantees for Ukraine that could help forge a peace agreement to end Russia’s war on Ukraine.  * Trump on Tuesday ruled out sending U.S. troops to help defend Ukraine against Russia, but said U.S. air support was a possibility. * The Republican-controlled Texas legislature is expected to pass a new congressional map creating five new winnable seats for the GOP. * Hamas says it has accepted a proposal from Arab mediators for a ceasefire in the 22-month war sparked by its Oct. 7, 2023, attack into Israel. Israel has not yet responded and says it is still committed to defeating the militant group.
