Fighter jets from the Patrouille de France flew past the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris on Wednesday as part of a charity event.

The eight Alpha jets from the aerobatic unit trailed red, white and blue smoke, the colours of the national flag.

The display brought colour to the grey skies over the French capital and delighted spectators.

The flypast came as part of a charity event for "‘Secours Populaire".

The association organizes numerous summer activities and special events for children whose families can’t afford to go on holidays.
