SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- One person was injured after leaping out a window to escape a house fire in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset neighborhood Wednesday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at 6:06 a.m. to the 1300 block of 47th Avenue on the report of a house fire. As of 6:44 a.m., the two-alarm fire involved three single-family homes, SFFD said.
Three adults who were rescued from the burning homes were hospitalized for injuries. One of the residents jumped from a window in order to escape the flames, according to SFFD Chief Dean Crispen, and was initially listed in critical condition before being downgraded to stable.
A pet cat that firefighters pulled from the home later succumbed to their injuries, Crispen said. A second cat remained missing
