SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Plan for a comfortable morning, but the afternoon will be noticeably warmer with some neighborhoods reaching triple digit temperatures. Sunshine and light North winds mean even more Valley neighborhoods will experience those numbers tomorrow through Saturday. The Foothills will also deal with hotter than normal temperatures with highs in the mid and upper 90s through the weekend.

An increase in monsoon moisture means chances for afternoon thunderstorms for the Sierra beginning Friday and continuing into early next week.
