It’s one of the most contentious political developments in recent weeks, and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has played into it, deploying 150 National Guard members to Washington D.C. to aid President Donald Trump’s militarization of the police there.

The Today in Ohio podcast crew said Tuesday it understands DeWine’s claimed logic – always providing help when asked – but wondered why no one in leadership in America is pushing back against Trump on his false claims about crime to justify his police move.
