In the first year of the Orange County Public Schools experimental Independent Division, the Windermere football team rolled through undefeated .

But the Wolverines may have increased the expectations as winning is in the air as the school opens its ninth year. The 10-0 football season was followed up by the boys basketball team making it to the 7A state championship game . The community might start expecting victories.

“Last year was awesome. It really was a blessing,” Windermere coach Riki Smith said. “But now it’s a whole new regime. You have to move forward. I tell the guys, ‘That team is gone.’
