McDonald's is set to make a major change to its combo meals—by lowering the price.

McDonald's, which is celebrating the 70th anniversary of it's first franchised restaurant this year, is the world's largest restaurant chain with an estimated 68 million daily customers. In 2024, the number of McDonald's restaurants worldwide peaked at more than 43,000, as per Statista.

Many Americans have cut back on dining out amid increasing financial pressure and choosing lower-cost options. In July, U.S. inflation was 2.7 percent but core inflation—excluding food and energy—jumped to 3.1 percent, the fastest pace in five months .
