Aug. 22, Fifth Annual Rockaway Beach Surf Music Festival, Aug. 24. Three days of sun, surf, and twang with nine bands from five states. Rockaway Bazaar, Beach 97th Street and Shore Front Parkway.

Aug. 22, The Final Warm Up, 4 pm. This 27-year summer program’s final night mixes DJ sets, live shows, fetching outfits, and unbridled joy. The lineup features DJ Stingray 313, Berlin DJ Travella, and Dar es Salaam Natural Wonder Beauty Concept. MoMA PS1, 22-25 Jackson Ave., Long Island City.
