Florida football center Jake Slaughter earned another All-American honor on August 20, as he was named to the USA Today All-America preseason All-American first team .
The 6-foot-5, 303-pound Slaughter was named a preseason All-American by The Walter Camp Football Foundation, Sporting News, ESPN and CBS Sports earlier this summer.
Slaughter was a consensus All-American for the Florida Gators last season. In 13 starts in 2024, Slaughter recorded an 83.9 pass block grade per Pro Football Focus, which ranked fifth nationally among centers. Slaughter's PFF offense grade of 81.1 was seventh in the country. He's made 20 starts over the last two seasons and is considered a favorite to win the Rimington Award, given to college football's top center, this season.
