DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — Kayla Bailey, a Jacksonville mother of five reported missing Monday, has been located safe, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced during a press conference in Maxville Wednesday afternoon.
Bailey, 34, was last seen Sunday night and was reported missing Monday morning. JSO said Tuesday that investigators believed she was in danger , as they launched an investigation into her disappearance. Her husband, Joshua Bailey, said her phone had last pinged at a Sunoco gas station on U.S. 301 in Maxville around 6:39 a.m. Monday.
Members of JSO's Missing Persons Unit located Bailey on Wednesday, lying in a wooded area just off a trail less than a mile from her home hours after the search was launched, police said. Bailey was found "alive and well," but has been taken to
