Man Shot In Face, Handgun Recovered: East Orange Police

A man was shot in East Orange late Tuesday evening, Aug. 19, authorities said.

At 11:06 p.m., officers responded to 321 Park Ave. and found a Newark man with a gunshot wound to the face, East Orange police said. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is in stable condition, police said.

A 9 mm handgun was recovered at the scene, police said. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
