Traffic on Interstate 5 and Pioneer Street in Ridgefield was clear this morning as California burger icon In-N-Out prepared to open its first Washington location at 10:30 a.m.

A staging lot near In-N-Out, 5801 N. Pioneer Canyon Drive, was filling up about an hour before the restaurant opened but hadn’t backed up onto any roads.

The first Washington In-N-Out customer got their orders around 9 o’clock this morning. Folks were lining up for hours before the opening.

“No In-N-Out Parking” signs sat outside several businesses nearby. And people in safety vests were monitoring nearby parking lots.

Ridgefield police cars dotted the area, keeping an eye on the situation.
