A four-week Vancouver run of Disney’s The Lion King starts Wednesday night (Aug. 20) in a return of one of the most beloved shows ever to grace the stage.
Until Sept. 14, Broadway Across Canada will bring 32 performances of the hit musical to Queen Elizabeth Theatre in a very big season-ending production for the company.
Tickets are scare for matinee and evening show times, with some fetching close to $400 on the resale market.
During 10,000-plus performances in North American cities over 22 years, close to 23 million people have witnessed the theatrical magic of Disney’s The Lion King , full of jaw-dropping visuals and unforgettable music by Elton John and Tim Rice. The story is set in the Serengeti where birds swoop, gazelles leap and Pride Rock emerges from the mist.
