Tiger Woods has been named chairman of the PGA Tour's newly formed Future Competition Committee. The nine-member group will be tasked with evaluating the tour's competitive formats and proposing improvements.

Woods, who already serves on the PGA Tour Policy Board as Player Director, said he was "honored" by the appointment through a post on his X account .

"Honored to serve as Chairman of the Future Competition Committee," Woods posted. "This is about shaping the next era of the PGA TOUR — for our fans, players and partners. Thanks to @BrianRolapp for his vision and leadership, and grateful to the committee members for their willingness to participate."
