The Central New York Community Foundation has stepped up to help WCNY-TV through a difficult time for public broadcasting stations.

The foundation said Wednesday it will loan WCNY nearly $500,000 to help the broadcaster keep operating a job training program for adults interested in careers in the television and film industries.
