A new poll indicates growing support for increased mental health resources for students.
A survey released by the American Psychiatric Association shows 85% of Americans believe schools should be equipped to connect students to mental health services — but only 48% believe staff have been trained to identify mental health concerns in students.
In light of that, the American Psychiatric Association Foundation is offering a free training program called "Notice. Talk. Act. at School" that's available to all school staff, from teachers and coaches to cafeteria staff and bus drivers.
