MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Lake Egypt Water District issued a boil water order for their customers on August 20.
The boil order was issued on Wednesday afternoon and affects all customers in the Deer Ridge subdivision.
The CDC recommends bringing water to a full rolling boil for one minute, or three minutes at elevations above 6,500 feet. Then allow the water to cool before using it.
When washing hands with tap water during a boil water order, it's recommended to use soap and water, then using alcohol-based hand sanitizer and let them air dry.
