CINCINNATI, Ohio (KFYR) - North Dakota native Cordell Volson is likely to miss the entirety of his fourth season in the NFL, Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor announced on Wednesday.

Volson, a fourth-round pick from 2022, will need surgery to address a shoulder injury that he suffered during practice, Taylor said.

Volson has started all but two games for the Bengals in his three seasons with the team. Those two games both came in 2024.

Volson played four different positions during his time at North Dakota State University. During his five-year career, he played in an NDSU record 65 games. The three-time FCS All-American won four national championships with the Bison.
