President Trump indulged in one of his favorite pastimes Tuesday — playing DJ on the White House’s new patio , blaring melancholy tunes like “Whiter Shade of Pale” by Procol Harum and “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” by Elvis as reporters looked on.

The oldies-loving commander in chief threw on his personal playlist while testing the sound system in the renovated Rose Garden in preparation for what press secretary Karoline Leavitt predicted would be “the best event in the history of the White House.”

Leavitt teased the party would take place “hopefully soon,” suggesting the construction was nearly done.

Trump’s list of tunes also included the classic love song “You Are So Beautiful” by Joe Cocker and the late Luciano Pavarotti’s rendition of “Nessun dorma” from the opera “Turandot.”
